About Us

Lean Leadership Way Institute is an international organisation whose mission is to develop leaders capable of building a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen) founded on respect, accountability and engagement.

For more than two decades, our training and consultancy organisation has supported businesses around the world in developing leadership in the spirit of Lean Management and the Toyota Production System. We develop their leaders and support the practical implementation of the Lean philosophy.

Our goal is not only to transfer knowledge, but above all to shape leadership habits that enable leaders to inspire teams, develop people and create a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.

LLWI owns the YOKOTEN brand and platform, which facilitates knowledge sharing and online education.

The principal creator of the Lean Development Programme is Mark Forkun, CEO of LLWI.

Mark is a recognised expert in Lean Leadership and organisational transformation, with more than 30 years of experience working with leaders around the world. He created the proprietary Lean Leadership Way approach, which combines the principles of the Toyota Production System with the development of leaders' awareness and accountability.

Mark has worked with hundreds of companies across Europe, Asia and the Americas, helping them build cultures of continuous improvement and values-based leadership.

He is the author of GENBA IKIGAI - Leading to Serve, in which he describes the 16 habits of an effective Lean leader.

His mission is to inspire leaders to serve others, develop people and create workplaces where respect and improvement go hand in hand.

Drawing on his extensive practical experience and using specific real-world examples, he demonstrates that the best results are achieved by organisations that adopt a leadership model founded on the Lean philosophy and accountable leadership.
